[00:00.000] The year is 1971...
[00:04.880] Now comes the first of the children of LOTUG...
[00:08.220] Lords of the Underground, witness the birth of the funky child...
[00:11.090] Do it all, hit 'em!
[00:13.660] Born with the funk from the womb of Brenda
[00:14.650] She now likes the Lords but you used to dig The Spinners
[00:17.210] First with the style from the birth canal
[00:19.510] And now I got the flav to make the crowd go wild
[00:21.960] Do dig it (screams) ooh watch me kick it
[00:24.650] I'm taking no shorts unless it's coming from a midget
[00:27.030] I packs the piece more than chicken packed grease
[00:29.410] I'm nearly knocking boots, but if not I'll knock teeth
[00:32.000] Wahh!
[00:32.780] Gaga, ooh cries the baby
[00:34.660] Smacked on the ass now the Doitall's crazy
[00:37.010] No rattles or playpens, the crowds what I'm rappin'
[00:39.700] And yes I do Reruns, as if this was What's Happening
[00:42.260] Now January 14th has birthed the funk one
[00:44.480] The D-Day for Dupree and yes I'm funk-ay
[00:47.120] I got you bobbin' to the funky style
[00:49.550] K-Def let 'em know here comes the funky child
[00:52.290] Yeah, born in the underground of Newark,
[00:58.460] now witness the birth of Mr. Funkee
[01:02.060] The fifth of the terror, it's the return of Funky Kreuger
[01:04.360] A.K. Anger, but yo that's Mr. Funkee Wallbanger
[01:07.050] Concieved in the fire by you warned through disaters
[01:09.400] The funky child was taught to the ways of the masters
[01:11.880] Mr. Funkee, yes girl the black mack is back
[01:14.260] Here to kick my funky style, funky this and funky that
[01:16.820] You can work day and night, you could practice all your life
[01:19.280] But I still take the show and then I go home with the wife
[01:21.680] Oh my God, funky with the style, Lord have mercy
[01:24.400] I hurdle over rappers just like Jackie Joyner-Kersee
[01:26.770] Watch me flip the script, let me show you what the funk do
[01:29.200] Make you call me uncle (What?) Uncle (What?) Uncle (Who?)
[01:32.020] When I was younger I used to sing with my sister
[01:34.240] Now I kick the ill styles you have to call me mister
[01:36.780] Cooling in the House of Hits, time to buckwild
[01:39.340] Raised in the ways of the funky child
[01:44.850] (Funky child) (Funky funky style)
[01:47.850] (Funky child) (Funky funky style)
[01:52.920] Boo-yah
[01:55.850] (Funky child) (Funky funky style)
[01:59.170] (Funky child) (Funky funky style)
[02:03.660] (Funky child) (Funky funky style)
[02:07.050] (Funky child) (Funky funky style)
[02:11.890] Well um, back up baby, here come the schooler
[02:14.160] We're hit when we dry crawl and hit rock 'n' roller
[02:16.560] I'm caught in the swinging, hypnotized by the Pendulum
[02:19.100] Just fiddlein' with my electrons, so this is how I'm killing them
[02:21.550] K is on the M.P., Jazz is on the Technic
[02:24.140] Marley's on the mix and now the Lords have a hit like POW!
[02:26.650] Now it's time to get buckwild
[02:29.550] And watch my funky brothers freak the underground
[02:31.480] In a second, or minute, in no times flat...
[02:35.730] Bring it back
[02:37.020] And go grab the album to give the Lords money
[02:39.080] Take it home to mom to say "Ain't they funky?"
[02:41.930] We gone psycho and everbody thought we was DAS
[02:43.830] It didn’t Effect me, I said "So what?" I kept on writing rhymes
[02:46.390] I keep my funky style perfected so no one can stop my flow
[02:48.960] I fear no man, cause if it's on fool, then it's on (And it's on)
[02:51.620] Don't worry not for other crews selling out
[02:53.810] As long as Lords of the Underground stay underground
[02:56.370] The brothers of LOTUG will keep the lyrical fitness
[02:58.720] Don't worry about me selling out, mind your business
[03:01.360] You might say "Damn, Mr. Funkee's going out"
[03:03.820] But if you listen to the words then you'll know what I'm about
[03:06.270] Any props you receive are the props that you earn
[03:08.680] I'm off till the funky child returns
