Taylor [00:15.890] He was born in the summer of his 27th year [00:21.190] Comin' home to a place he'd never been before [00:26.380] He left yesterday behind him you might say he was born again [00:31.380] You might say he found a key for every door [00:36.690] When he first came to the mountains his life was far away [00:41.680] On the road and hangin' by a song [00:47.170] But the string's already broken and he doesn't really care [00:52.350] It keeps changin' fast and it don't last for long [00:57.970] But the Colorado rocky mountain high [01:02.960] I've seen it rainin' fire in the sky [01:08.390] The shadow from the starlight is softer than a lullabye [01:16.870] Rocky mountain high [01:22.060] Rocky mountain high [01:27.860] He climbed cathedral mountains he saw silver clouds below [01:33.160] He saw everything as far as you can see [01:38.340] And they say that he got crazy once and he tried to touch the sun [01:43.520] And he lost a friend but kept his memory [01:48.770] Now he walks in quiet solitude the forests and the streams [01:53.820] Seeking grace in every step he takes [01:59.140] His sight has turned inside himself to try and understand [02:04.380] The serenity of a clear blue mountain lake [02:09.880] And the Colorado rocky mountain high [02:14.710] I've seen it rainin' fire in the sky [02:19.890] You can talk to God and listen to the casual reply [02:28.510] Rocky mountain high [02:33.690] Rocky mountain high [02:39.560] Now his life is full of wonder but his heart still knows some fear [02:44.740] Of a simple thing he cannot comprehend [02:49.980] Why they try to tear the mountains down to bring in a couple more [02:55.160] More people more scars upon the land [03:00.780] And the Colorado rocky mountain high [03:05.710] I've seen it rainin' fire in the sky [03:11.130] I know he'd be a poorer man if he never saw an eagle fly [03:19.680] Rocky mountain high [03:22.800] It's Colorado rocky mountain high [03:27.920] I've seen it rainin' fire in the sky [03:33.600] Friends around the campfire and everybody's high [03:41.930] Rocky mountain high [03:46.920] Rocky mountain high [03:52.100] Rocky mountain high [03:57.280] Rocky mountain high
