[00:25.460] I cutting was the rug
[00:48.820] Down at a place called The Jug
[00:50.950] With a girl named Linda Lou
[00:53.190] When in walked a man
[00:56.250] With a gun in his hand
[00:57.800] And he was looking for you know who.
[01:00.060] He said, "Hey there fellow,
[01:03.420] With the hair colored yellow,
[01:05.050] Watcha tryin' to prove?
[01:07.670] 'Cause that's my woman there
[01:10.600] And I'm a man who cares
[01:12.220] And this might be all for you."
[01:14.840] I said excuse me
[01:18.150] I was scared and fearing for my life.
[01:37.370] I was shakin' like a leaf on a tree.
[01:40.800] 'Cause he was lean, mean,
[01:42.920] Big and bad, Lord,
[01:45.100] A Pointin' that gun at me.
[01:47.600] I said, "Wait a minute, mister,
[01:50.970] I didn't even kiss her.
[01:52.470] Don't want no trouble with you.
[01:54.780] And I know you don't owe me
[01:57.770] But I wish you'd let me
[01:59.520] Ask one favor from you."
[02:02.020] "Oh Won't you give me three steps,
[02:07.380] Gimme three steps mister,
[02:08.250] Gimme three steps towards the door?
[02:11.250] Gimme three steps
[02:13.630] Gimme three steps mister,
[02:15.180] And you'll never see me no more."
[02:17.860] For sure
[02:20.860] Well the crowd cleared away
[02:53.500] And I began to pray
[02:54.810] As the water fell on the floor.
[02:57.180] And I'm telling you son,
[03:00.300] Well, it ain't no fun
[03:02.040] Staring straight down a forty-four.
[03:05.270] Well he turned and screamed at Linda Lou
[03:08.960] And that's the break I was looking for.
[03:11.950] And you could hear me screaming a mile away
[03:15.870] As I was headed out toward the door.
[03:19.120] "Oh Won't you give me three steps,
[03:24.170] Gimme three steps mister,
[03:25.550] Gimme three steps towards the door?
[03:28.050] Gimme three steps
[03:30.800] Gimme three steps mister,
[03:32.600] And you'll never see me no more."
[03:35.470] Show me the back door
