[00:06.580] There was a wicked messenger
[00:09.250] From Eli he did come,
[00:13.250] With a mind that multiplied
[00:15.690] The smallest matter.
[00:19.240] When questioned who had sent for him,
[00:22.050] He answered with his thumb,
[00:25.920] For his tongue it could not speak, but only flatter.
[00:44.510] He stayed behind the assembly hall,
[00:47.440] It was there he made his bed,
[00:51.810] Oftentimes he could be seen returning.
[00:57.430] Until one day he just appeared
[01:00.120] With a note in his hand which read,
[01:04.230] "The soles of my feet, I swear they're burning."
[01:22.490] Oh, the leaves began to fallin'
[01:24.920] And the seas began to part,
[01:29.470] And the people that confronted him were many.
[01:35.220] And he was told but these few words,
[01:38.080] Which opened up his heart,
[01:41.950] "If ye cannot bring good news, then don't bring any."
