[00:19.918] Now I'm no wizzard
[00:21.198] And I'll probably be slade
[00:22.478] When I say that I don't wish that it was Christmas every day
[00:24.934] 'Cause the resulting economic instability
[00:26.997] Would inhibit the facilities that exhibit all that's Christmassy
[00:30.472] 3 weeks,we'd all be sick of the nativity
[00:32.744] Wincin' at tinsel and grittin' teeth at the festivities
[00:35.487] And all the time people spend finding pine needles
[00:38.021] We'd soon see
[00:38.753] The futility of Christmas trees
[00:40.320] Trees shed their green things
[00:41.365] 'Cause they see that time is fleeting
[00:42.619] Season's greetigs would weaken
[00:43.873] With weeks of repeating
[00:45.074] Going on and on with holiday
[00:46.433] Would just create monotony
[00:47.817] There's a reason that the season
[00:48.862] Is a reasonably brief thing
[00:50.821] Of course,the shops...
[00:51.526] They're likely to lie...
[00:52.597] 'Cause there's an awful lot of things
[00:53.877] That they would like you to buy
[00:55.236] So apart from a few Barbecues in between
[00:57.796] Christmas ends around June
[00:59.050] And starts again in July
[01:00.513] So grab your favourite beverace!
[01:01.871] Raise it up!
[01:02.942] But know that Christmas isn't Christened in
[01:04.379] By lights on a truck
[01:05.502] It's the time of year to hold near
[01:06.886] The ones that you love
[01:08.036] So I hope it's more than Coke
[01:09.159] You're gonna toast with that cup...
[01:10.570] 'Cause we're known to give up
[01:11.693] When the outlook is grim...
[01:13.260] The world so turned around
[01:14.331] It's no wonder it spins...
[01:15.716] But Christmas is forgiveness
[01:16.970] So forgive it its sins
[01:18.250] Raise a glass,just bask
[01:19.347] In the wonder it brings
[01:20.888] It may be apt to assume me hypocritical
[01:22.978] For my apathetic attitude towards the biblical
[01:25.590] But you don't have to put your faith into a miracle
[01:28.098] To see that one thing will always stand empirical
[01:30.919] No matter how you decorate the trees...
[01:32.826] The world is not a pretty place to be...
[01:35.412] And all it takes to see
[01:36.457] All of the hate and greed
[01:38.103] Is perchance just to glance
[01:39.252] At your HD screens
[01:40.349] And we replay these scenes
[01:41.629] We says Sweet Dreams
[01:42.909] Rest our heads in our beds
[01:44.111] And forget the screams
[01:45.783] Sound drowned by the festive sales machines
[01:47.951] My gran would have been grateful for tangerines
[01:51.686] So give me coal this December
[01:54.560] What you spend or the splendour
[01:56.232] It's a hearth in our hearts
[01:57.695] Where we all come together
[01:58.948] I'll light that coal
[02:00.020] We can share in the embers
[02:01.535] So whether you believe in the immaculate
[02:03.624] You're undecided or
[02:05.140] You've sided with the secular
[02:06.420] Yeah, whatever is your spiritual vernacular
[02:08.535] Share in that warmth
[02:09.502] And you'll have something spectacular
[02:11.670] So grab your favourite beverace!
[02:13.081] Raise it up!
[02:14.178] But know that Christmas isn't Christened in
[02:15.510] By lights on a truck
[02:16.764] It's the time of year to hold near
[02:17.992] The ones that you love
[02:19.167] So I hope it's more than Coke
[02:20.395] You're gonna toast with that cup...
[02:21.701] 'Cause we're known to give up
[02:23.007] When the outlook is grim...
[02:24.287] The world so turned around
[02:25.411] It's no wonder it spins...
[02:26.821] But Christmas is forgiveness
[02:28.075] So forgive it its sins
[02:29.407] Raise a glass,just bask
[02:30.740] In the wonder it brings
[02:32.098] It's time to focus on what's important so
[02:34.371] Raise a toast
[02:35.651] Set that smile aglow
[02:37.009] To your friends
[02:37.793] To your families
[02:38.498] To tomorrows
[02:39.726] To the ones we have lost since a year ago
[02:42.155] But every year that wait feels shorter though
[02:44.428] And I know
[02:45.577] It's not a nice thought to know...
[02:47.171] But the years, they melt by just sure as snow
[02:49.757] And we've only got so many more to go...
[02:54.694] So hold them close
[02:55.869] And make the most...
[02:57.097] And as you raise that toast
[02:58.220] You taste that roast...
[02:59.526] Be you guest or host
[03:01.015] Know you've been blessed with those
[03:02.295] Who have impressed the most
[03:03.549] In the wax of that candle in your chest...
[03:05.300] And no,there is no festival ghost
[03:07.442] Who'll let you try again
[03:08.748] Take you back
[03:09.427] And show you what might have been
[03:11.203] So cherish each moment you get to spend
[03:13.789] 'Cause the Present is a Gift
[03:15.043] Share it with your friends
[03:16.402] And raise it up!
[03:17.734] But know that Christmas isn't Christened in
[03:19.249] By lights on a truck
[03:20.398] It's the time of year to hold near
[03:21.652] The ones that you love
[03:22.749] So I hope it's more than Coke
[03:23.951] You're gonna toast with that cup...
[03:25.231] 'Cause we're known to give up
[03:26.485] When the outlook is grim...
[03:27.843] The world so turned around
[03:29.045] It's no wonder it spins...
[03:30.508] But Christmas is forgiveness
[03:31.657] So forgive it its sins
[03:32.963] Raise a glass,just bask
[03:34.348] In the wonder it brings
[03:35.549] So whatever your Christmas festivities
[03:37.744] Spend the Day in church or in a onesie
[03:40.486] Enjoying turkey and roast beef
[03:41.923] Or nuts and goats cheese
[03:43.203] Be grateful each plateful
[03:44.405] But spare a thought for those who won't be
[03:45.972] Yeah,the world's going off the rails
[03:48.166] And we need more to fix it
[03:49.577] Than trinkets and retail
[03:51.092] But this season love and family will always prevail...
[03:53.835] Until we riot over deals
[03:54.906] In the January sales.
